Cassius Pride is the father of Dwayne Cassius Pride and James "Jimmy" Boyd and the grandfather of Laurel Pride. He is presently incarcerated in a jail in New Orleans. In the episode Le Carnivale de la Mort, Dwayne Pride visits him during the Mardi Gras celebration. Unknown to Dwayne, his daughter has been secretly communicating and visiting her grandfather. This causes a rift between father and daughter but it is resolved at the end of Le Carnivale de la Mort.
